Pat Seitz passed away on October 31, 2021. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 8th at Potts Chapel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, November 9th at 10:00 at the First Church of the Nazarene with burial immediately following at Farmington Cemetery.
Pat was born on September 25, 1966, in Wichita, Kansas to Jim and Caroline Glasgow. They moved to Independence in 1968 where she lived until her passing.
She attended Eisenhower Elementary School and Independence High School, graduating in 1985. After high school she married Kirk Carter and the had two children, Sara House and Andrew Carter. She later married Darrell Seitz on September 25, 2009.
She held several jobs working as a waitress in several local restaurants while attending high school. She also worked at Emerson Electric for several years before starting a career at Matcor Metal Fabrication. At Matcor, she started out as a Laser Lead before being promoted to Third Shift Production Supervisor, where she worked until she retired. After retirement, she became a boisterous Kansas City Chiefs fan.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Pat’s memory will carry on with her husband, Darrell Seitz of the home, her children, Sara House and Andrew Carter, both of Independence, Shellye Seitz of Joplin, MO, and Travis Seitz of Baxter Springs, KS, sister, Shirley Parsons of Wichita, KS, step mother, Liz Glasgow of Independence, 7 grandchildren, 2 nieces, Megan Ford and Ashley Parsons both of Wichita, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, her 2 dogs, Jake and Molly and cats, Clyde, Ozzie, Frikie, Squeek, Simba, Mommie and Tig.
