Patricia Schafer

Patricia Coran Schafer, 56, of Independence passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Joplin, Missouri. Cremation has taken place with Potts Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 25th at 6:00pm at the First Christian Church in Independence, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to AWOL and can be left with the funeral home.
Patricia Coran Comer was born June 1, 1962 in Sonora, California. She was the daughter of Robert Comer and Donna (Gibson) McNulty. Patricia grew up and graduated high school in California in 1980. Afterwards she attended some college classes. She moved to Neodesha, Kansas in 2005.
Patricia married Timothy Schafer on August 18, 2010 in Independence. They later divorced in 2016. They remarried on July 29, 2018. They made their home in Independence. She enjoyed reading and quilting. She was passionate about her cats and God. Patricia spent many hours playing Power Rangers with her grandson and dolls with the granddaughters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Timothy, son Stetson, two step daughters: Stephanie Mese and Amber Woollard, sister Lorrie Jones, brother Robert Comer, niece Alicia Ruby and lot of great nieces and nephews.
Proceeding her in death was her mother, grandparents and great grandparents.
