Pamela Atkinson

Pamela Arlene Atkinson, 63, went home for eternal rest on August 8, 2015 at Medicalodge Nursing Facility in Independence, Kansas. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas, with interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, with pastor Brendt Wills, of Coffeyille, officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family receiving visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Pamela is survived by one son Justin L. Atkinson of Miami, Oklahoma and one daughter Angela J. Wilhelm of Independence, her mother Edra A. Baldwin of Independence, her brothers Bill Kimzey and Bryant Kimzey of Independence. Pam also had 7 grandchildren that were the light of her life. Pam was preceded in death by her father Billy Kimzey and her sister Brenda Benbrook.
Pamela will be remembered most for her faith in God and her dedication to her children and grandchildren. Pam loved taking care of everyone, but the highlights of her life were her children and grandchildren.
