Nila F. Blake, 78, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Saturday at the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas, with the Reverend Eric Lang of the Cherryvale Christian Church officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas under the directions of the Potts Chapel Cherryvale.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday October 7, 2013, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas.
Nila was born January 19, 1935 in Coyle, Oklahoma the daughter of Walter S. and Cora V. Longan Ramsden. She grew up in Pawnee, Oklahoma she moved to Cherryvale attended and graduated in 1953 from the Cherryvale High School, in Cherryvale, Kansas.
Nila worked for Newtons True Value Hardware in Cherryvale, Kansas, Montgomery County Court House, Independence, Kansas Calverts Department Store and Emerson Electric on the Assembly line.
Survivors include two daughters Vickie Doherty of Independence, KS, and Sherrie Coffey of Coffeyville, Kansas three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
