Nanette Vannoster

Nanette C. Vannoster, age 84, of Liberty, Kansas passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Montgomery Place in Independence, Kansas.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Mount Hope Cemetery with the Reverend Mike Sutton officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Potts Chapel.

Visitation hours will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.

The family has suggested memorials to the Mercy Hospice and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel.

Nanette was born May 27, 1930 in Montgomery County, Kansas to Orel and Mabel (White) Sutton. She grew up in Independence and Coffeyville, Kansas and attended schools there.

On August 16, 1946 Nanette married Ora Vannoster and the couple made their home in Jefferson, Kansas. Ora preceded her in death on June 22, 2004. Nanette worked as a nurse for many years retiring from the Mercy Hospital in 1994. She was a former member of the Chapel of Praise.

Survivors include two sons David and wife Bonnie Vannoster of Liberty, Kansas and Danny and wife Patty of Independence, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one daughter and four siblings.
