Myrna Rae Padley

Myrna Rae Padley, 73, of Independence passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Myrna was born on May 12, 1950, in Independence to Ansel and Sylvia Smith. She was the fourth of five children.

She married Jimmy Padley, her high school sweetheart and they made their home in Independence. Together they share two beautiful daughters, Shelly Ann and Bobbie Jo. Myrna became a wonderful homemaker for her family of four and a devout Baptist.

She loved being with family and attended First Baptist Church of Independence every Sunday.

Myrna is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Jerry Smith, and sister Sandra Ballew.

Those left to carry on her memory are her husband of 56 years, Jimmy, two daughters Shelly Ann and Bobbie Jo, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Potts Chapel, 122 South Penn Ave, Independence, with the family receiving visitors from 5pm – 7pm.

Myrna’s faith and strong will touched every person who met her and she will be missed dearly by those who lover her.
