Michael Schicke

Michael Charles Schicke, Independence, passed away on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 at his home. Cremation has taken place with Potts Chapel. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 9th, 2021 at 10:00am at Calvary Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Andrew Catholic School and can be left with the funeral home.

Michael Charles Schicke was born on May 10th, 1946 to Frank P. and Myrtle Ellen (Maher) Schicke. He was a graduate of Independence High School and Independence Community College. He married Deborah Fuqua on June 12th, 1971 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church. They later divorced. He was a rancher and cattle man! And a partner in Schicke Cattle Company.

Those surviving are sons: Matthew Schicke of Evanston, Illinois and Joshua Schicke of Chandler Arizonia, grandsons: Keegan, Cooper and Liam, granddaughters: Emma, Olivia and Alexa, brother James A. Schicke, sisters: Mary Jane Schicke and Kathy Smith all of Independence, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother John Schicke.
