Maxine Thibus

Mrs. Maxine Thibus, age 94, of Sandy Springs, Georgia died Saturday, September 21, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Thibus son Jim Thibus and sisters Joanne Markham and Kathleen Reddy. Survivors include her son and daughterinlaw, Richard and Carol Thibus of Franklin, TN daughters and sonsinlaw, Sharon and Billy Boyd of Sandy Springs and Patti and Barry Heard of Alpharetta daughterinlaw, Sharon Thibus of Independence, Kansas sister, Madelyn Tipps of Wichita Falls, TX. She is also survived by grandchildren, Christina Thibus, Thomas Thibus, Rebecca and Jon Bailey, Harrison and Anita Boyd, William Boyd and Caroline Boyd and 1 great grandson, Anthony Thibus. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Mary, Theresa, Vivian and Eula. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the St. Jude Catholic Church, 7171 Glenridge Dr. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328, where she was a founding member. A reception will follow the Mass at the church. The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
