It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Matthew who went home to be with the Lord on August 25th at the age of 40. Though his time on Earth was far too short, Matthew lived a life full of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to those around him.
Born on January 22, 1984, Matthew was a shining light in our lives from the very beginning. As a special needs individual, he faced life’s challenges with a courage and strength that inspired all who knew him. His joyful spirit, infectious smile, and boundless love for others were a testament to his deep faith in God and his pure heart.
Matthew was a faithful servant of the Lord, finding great joy in worship and prayer. He loved people and touched the hearts of many with his kindness, compassion, and generosity. He had an extraordinary ability to see the good in everyone, and his gentle soul brought comfort and peace to those who needed it most.
Though we mourn the loss of our dear Matthew, we find solace in knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord, where he will forever be embraced by God’s love. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
Matthew is survived by his loving family, including his mother Yvette Sumner, father Michael Sumner, as well as his sister Jennifer Aston, brother-in-law Joe Aston, sister Melissa Benner, and brother-in-law Jesse Benner.
