Mary Morris

Mary Lee Morris, age 87, of Independence, Kansas died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Medicallodge in Independence, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Potts Chapel with the Pastor Jeff Owen officiating.

The family has suggested memorials to AWOL and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.

Mary was born February 16, 1928 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Leo and Mary (Stockton) Kolb. She grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and attended schools in Cherryvale.

Mary married Ward Eardley in Minnesota and the couple made their home in Minnesota. The couple later divorced. Later Mary married Sid Morris in Topeka, Kansas where they made their home before moving to Independence, Kansas.

Survivors include one son David Eardley of Afton, Oklahoma; two sisters Ann Schicke of Independence, Kansas and Judy Schuenight of Ozowkie, Kansas; numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
