Mary Gaddy

Mary L. Gaddy, 84, of Independence died Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Montgomery Place in Independence, Kansas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church, with Father Andrew Heiman officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, in Independence, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel Independence. Visitation hours will be held from Noon to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Reciting of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Potts Chapel, Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the St. Andrew Catholic School and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel Independence. Mary was born June 22, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Roderick Dale and Helen Benson McGinnis. She grew up in Kansas City and attended the Kansas City School System. Mary was united in marriage to Rupert Dale Gaddy and he preceded her in death. Mary was a home maker. She was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Norman Gaddy of Cherryvale, Ks. daughter, Diana Sierman of Fredonia, Ks. two grandsons, Stoney Gaddy of Wyoming and Nick Sierman of Calif. seven great grandchildren, Jarrett Gaddy of Coffeyvile, Ks., Jordan Gaddy of Tenn., Justion Gaddy and Syaney Gaddy of Wichita, Ks., Samuel Gaddy of Wyoming, Connor Sierman and Alec Sierman of Cherryvale, Ks.
