Mary Codding, 82, Caney, Kansas, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 11, 2015, at Jane Phillips Hospital Bartlesville. After a long and happy life, she went to be with her husband. She closed her eyes and re-opened them in Heaven.

Mary Ann Noblitt, was born May 7, 1933, in Caney, Kansas, the third of three children to Kenneth Rudolph Noblitt and Cecil Etta (Snider) Noblitt, She was raised in rural Caney and attended schools there. She married Glen Maurice Codding, December 24, 1947. They made their home and raised their children in the rural Copan area. They enjoyed many happy years living on Copan lake after Glen's retirement from the Washington County Sheriff's office.

After 20+plus years of employment with the Kennedy Insurance Company in Bartlesville, she retired and with her daughter Gwen opened The Corner Sew and So quilt shop in Copan, where she enjoyed visiting with the customers and taking care of 'all of her girls." She also enjoyed baking sugar cookies, but more so sharing them with others.

Later she moved to Guest Home Estates in Caney, where she made many good friends and enjoyed visiting with the residents and their families. She was always good for a hug.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and later Cornerstone Church in Caney. She enjoyed and loved her church family.

Blessed by her memory are her family, daughter Gwen and husband Don Engelbert, son Larry and wife Diana Codding, both of Copan, and daughter Debra Hough of Bartlesville; nine grandchildren - Lesa, Curt, Josh, Kenny, Travis, Shane, Cody, Brandon and Corey; sixteen great grandchildren, brother in law Bobby Codding of Copan, many beloved nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends. A special survivor is her sister in law, life-long running mate and best friend, Dolores Kimbley of Bartlesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, two sisters, Betty Mesneak and Alice Roberts,

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, June 15, 2015, at Cornerstone Church in Caney, with pastor Brad Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Caney under the direction of Potts Chapel Funeral Home, Caney.
