Mary O'Dell Clayton

Mary O'Dell Clayton (Mahan) was born on November 9, 1930, in Bunger, Texas. She peacefully passed away on June 25 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mary was a beloved wife to Bruce Clayton and a devoted mother to her daughter Linda Jean Henning and son Arthur Jay Green. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family as she was also a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Although they mourn her passing, they take solace in the countless memories they shared with Mary.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Clayton, father William Mahan, son Arthur Jay Green, sisters Lillian Reedy and Irene Nicholas, as well as brothers Roy Mahan, Ezra Mahan, and Charlie Mahan. 

Mary's surviving family and friends will continue to hold her close to their hearts as they remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

Mary O'Dell Clayton's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly cherished.
