Marvin Dean Julian

Marvin Dean Julian, 86, of Independence, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on February 27, 2026. He was born on October 9, 1939, in Moline, Kansas, to Raymond and Nellie Lewis Julian.

As a young man, Marvin proudly served  in the U.S. Army. Following his service, he built a long and dedicated 27‑year career in the airline industry, spending most of those years in the Las Vegas area, before retiring to Western Colorado. He later made his home in Independence, Kansas.

On May 20, 2015, Marvin married Betty Beurskens in Independence, where they shared their life together.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Geraldine McGee and Ruth Kopf; and his brother Ray Eugene Julian.

He is survived by his wife Betty; his stepdaughter Lara Tucker and her husband Joe; his granddaughter Larin Do and her husband Canh; and his great‑grandson Kyler Do.

Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time.
