Marvin Dale Crigger, of Longton, passed away Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 at the Wilson County Medical Center. Cremation has taken place with Potts Chapel of Independence.
Marvin Dale Crigger was born September 28th, 1938. He was the son of Marvin Fredrick and Lucile Mae (Doub) Crigger. He was raised in Independence, Kansas. Marvin served in the United States Army from 1959-1961 in Germany. On February 23rd, 1974 he married the love of his life, Doris Sutton.
Marvin’s hobbies included breaking horses, riding horses and anything to do with horses. He was a true cowboy! He was a self-employed Farrier.
Those who has preceded him death are his parents, wife Doris, brother Gary Crigger, sister Myrna Dollison, sons: Chad Crigger, Justen Counsil and Gary “Rusty” Counsil, and daughter Arlene Ohrt.
Those left to cherish his memory are daughters: Tammy Delich, Thresa Bowman, Sally Davis, Judy Vaughn, and Eron Bruce; sons: Dale Crigger, Marvin “Chip” Crigger, Larry “Butch” Counsil and Joe Counsil; sister Vicki Eustice; 34 grandchildren and 53 great- grandchildren.
