Marshon Pinard, age 78 of rural Peru, Kansas died Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Jonesburg Church in rural Peru, Kansas located on Bronco Road and Road 24 under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.

The family has suggested memorials to the Peru Memorial Scholorship Fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.

Marshon was born January 4, 1935 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Harry Elmer and Lottie Belle Kaizer Pinard. He grew up in Peru, Kansas and graduated from the Peru High School in 1954. Marshon worked at Ritchie Brothers Construction before entering the United States Army and serving for two years.

On August 29, 1960 Marshon married Elizabeth Ann Smith in Franklin, Georgia. The couple made their home on the family farm in rural Peru, Kansas. Marshon was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of Old Timers Rodeo Association.

Survivors include his wife Ann Pinard of the home one son Michael Mike Pinard and wife Nancy of Chautauqua, Kansas one daughter Janice Spradling and husband David of rural Pawhuska, Oklahoma one brother Jack Pinard and wife Rose Mary of Topeka, Kansas four grandchildren Beth Pinard of Wichita, Kansas, Shon Pinard of McPherson, Kansas, Jason Spradling of rural Pawhuska, Oklahoma and Anna Spradling of rural Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
