MARSHA L. VERGE

Marsha L. Verge, age 49, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Sunday morning, February 5, 2017 at the Northwest Regional Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Marsha was born on February 20, 1967 in Independence, Kansas the daughter of Richard and Carolyn (James) Verge. She grew up in Independence and graduated from the Independence High School in 1985. Marsha attended the Independence Community College Cosmetology School. She worked for Gibson's and Emerson Electric. She and her son, Anthony and longtime partner and close friend Marissa Thomas moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 2003. She worked for USA drug in Springdale and Serco Inc. in Rogers. Marsha was a member of the First Baptist Church in Independence, Kansas. Marsha enjoyed reading serial killer novels, socializing with friends and family, and French braiding her niece's hair. Marsha also enjoyed spending time with her brother and sisters over coffee at Starbucks and long drives tearing up dirt roads.

Marsha is survived by her parents Richard and Carolyn Verge; one son Anthony and wife Jade Verge; sisters Michelle Blankenship of Independence, Misty and husband Adam Gill of Cherryvale; brother Rick Verge of Cherryvale; two nephews and five nieces Matthew Blankenship, Macy Blankenship, Emmalie Ingram, Kortland Verge, Madison Verge, Menley Gill and Mia Verge.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Lucile James and Bill and Louise Verge.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Harrisonville Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel.

Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel. Friends may leave online condolences at www.pottsfuneralhome.com.

The family has suggested memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes' Foundation and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel.
