Marjorie Bardy M. Hamilton, age 90, of Cherryvale, Kansas died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Cherryvale Nursing Rehab Center in Cherryvale, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 15, 2012 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Father Andrew Heiman officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Reciting of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday October 14, 2012 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Alzheimers Association and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Marjorie Bardy M. Hamilton was born September 6, 1922 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Claude and Lola Holt Carter. She grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and attended St. Francis Xavier School before graduating from Cherryvale High School. On July 1, 1942 Marjorie married Henry Clasper Hamilton Jr. H.C. in New Orleans, Louisiana. H.C. preceded her in death. The couple owned and operated the The Candy Kitchen in Cherryvale, Kansas in their early years. She was a devoted mother and homemaker to two sons, Lynn Phillip Hamilton who preceded her in death, and Kim Patrick Hamilton and one daughter Sherree Jeannine Hamilton Littell both of Cherryvale, Kansas 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary.
