Marilyn Rosetta Wade, age 77, of Fredonia, Kansas formerly of Cherryvale, Kansas died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the St. Francis Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Reverends DeWayne Johnson and Tommy Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Bible Holiness Church Building Fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Marilyn Rosetta Wade was born September 15, 1934 in Ottawa, Kansas to Archie and Rosetta Smiley Allen. She grew up in Great Bend, Kansas and attended schools in Great Bend. In 1960 Marilyn married Jimmie Wade in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple lived in Ozark, Arkansas until moving to Cherryvale, Kansas in 1980. Marilyn was a homemaker and a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Cherryvale, Kansas. Survivors include her husband Jim Wade, Fredonia, Kansas two daughters Tina Humphrey and husband John of Fredonia, Kansas and Peggy Schemper and husband Greg of Yates Center, Kansas one son Mark Wade and wife Andrea of Bartlesville, Oklahoma nine grandchildren Jimmy Humphrey, Brogan Humphrey, Nicholas Schemper, Gracelyn Schemper, Martin Wade, Conner Wade, Hunter Bray, Tanner Bray and Madison Bray.
