MARIE ELIZABETH CARINDER Marie E. Carinder, 81, of Caney, Kansas passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, Kansas. Celebration of Life services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Potts Chapel of Caney with Mike Morris, officiating. Friends may register from 9:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Monday and from 9:00 A.M. until service time Tuesday at Potts Chapel of Caney. Interment will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney. Memorial remembrances are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left at Potts Chapel of Caney. Marie Elizabeth Carinder was born January 27, 1930 the daughter of Norman Gilbert McNabb and Lanie E Wear McNabb. She grew up and graduated from Peru High School in Peru, Kansas. On May 28, 1949 in Sedan, Kansas she was united in marriage to Charles Arthur Carinder and he preceded her in death June 24, 1995. She was a homemaker and helped work on the family farm taking care of horses, cattle, dogs, a goat, rabbits, chickens, guineas, pigs and cats until the year 2000 when she moved into town. Marie was a Sunday School teacher, Bible School Teacher, Board Member of the Nazarene Church, song leader, nursery class teacher, helper with funeral dinners, took care of all her children and grandchildren. Survivors include sons Bobby Ray Carinder and Justin Charles Carinder of Caney, Kansas, one daughter Janice Elaine Owen Klemm of Yukon, Oklahoma, one brother, Donald McNabb of Victoria, Texas. Grandchildren Robert Carinder of Yukon, Oklahoma, Angel Davidson of Del City, Oklahoma, Amy Carinder of Caney, Kansas, Travis Carinder of Caney, Kansas, Latosha Carinder of Caney, Kansas, Tammi Ferrel and Stephanie Ford of Yukon, Oklahoma, Phillip Points of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Melissa McCeney of Hagerstown, Maryland, Kendra House of Bridge Creek, Oklahoma, Rikki Caraway of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Great grandchildren Joshua and Jerith Carinder of Yukon, Oklahoma, James Davidson of Del City, Oklahoma, Emme Grace McCeney Erin McCeney and Eva McCeney of Hagerstown, Maryland, Amber House, Aubrie House and Allyson House of Bridge Creek, Oklahoma, Madelyn Caraway and Lauren Caraway of Chickasha, Oklahoma, LCpl Kurtis Ferrell of Jacksonville, North Carolina, PFC Travis Ferrell of Norfolk, Virginia, James Ford and Steven Ford of Yukon Oklahoma, Abby Ortivez and Lance Ortivez of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles and daughter Sharon Faye Carinder.
