Margaret Kathy Kathleen Davis age 46, of Independence, Kansas died Friday, January 23, 2008 at her home in Independence, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the St. Andrews Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Reciting of the Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the St. Andrews Catholic Church Altar Society and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel. Kathy was born February 16, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona to George and Patricia Dehm Bishop. She grew up in Phoenix before moving to Independence, Kansas in 1971. Kathy graduated from the Independence High School. In January of 1985 Kathy married Edward Davis in Miami, Oklahoma and the couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas. They moved to Independence, Kansas in 1997. The couple later
orced. Kathy worked as a CNA for over 20 years at the Windsor Place. She was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church and the St. Andrews Catholic Church Altar Society. Survivors include her mother Patricia Bishop of Independence, Kansas; four daughters Elizabeth Day of Enid, Oklahoma, Celia Davis, Natosha Scott, and Amber Davis all of Independence, Kansas.; four brothers David Bishop of Dearing, Kansas, Fred Bishop of Navasota, Texas, Chris Bishop of Independence, Kansas and Tim Bishop of Coffeyville, Kansas; four sisters Mary Simpson, Aurora, Missouri, Geri Leoffler of Independence, Kansas, Nancy Bishop of Aurora, Missouri, Patsy Gregory of Independence, Kansas; four grandchildren.
