Malissa Jane Turpin passed away on October 18, 2020 in Independence, KS. Cremation has taken place with Potts Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

She was born on April 4, 1964 to Billy Gene and Viola Hardison Powell in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was a 1982 graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, MO.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and one brother Steve.

Malissa is survived by her husband of 32 years Alan, her daughter Sarah Brocious and husband Steven along with their 2 children: Ariana and Lily of Raytown, MO, a son David of Independence, KS (currently overseas serving our country), her brother Mike Hardison and sisters: Patti Anderson, Cyndi Summers, and Diane Smith.

Donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund or the National Kidney Foundation and can be left with Potts Chapel.
