Obituary

Lynn Marie Alexander, a compassionate soul whose life embodied love and dedication, was born on July 4, 1963, in Minot, North Dakota, to Howard and Marion Alexander. She passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, in Independence, Kansas, leaving behind a legacy woven from the threads of kindness, creativity, and family devotion.

Lynn's gentle spirit shone brightly throughout her life, particularly during her years as a healthcare worker, where she tirelessly cared for others. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her profession; she was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Rick Knapp, whom she married on August 31, 2002, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Together, they cherished two sons, Jake and Samuel, who became the pride and joy of her heart. Lynn's love for her family remains an enduring testament to her character.

Her passion for life was evident in every corner of her home, where she immersed herself in the arts and crafts she so dearly loved. Lynn's creativity was matched only by her culinary talents, as she artfully prepared delicious meals that brought family and friends together. She delighted in hosting festive Fall parties, ensuring every guest left with a plate in hand, a symbol of her generosity and love.

Lynn devoted nearly 30 years of her life to caring for the pediatric community of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Throughout her career, she served in many important roles, including as a nurse, lab technician, and office manager. She also worked at Noah’s Arc Academy in Independence, Kansas, and served as a nurse for Independence High School.

Lynn had a true gift for caring for children. She loved them deeply, and that love was returned by the many children whose lives she touched. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication made her a cherished part of the community. She will always be remembered for the love she gave so freely and for the lasting impact she had on so many lives.

Lynn's earthly journey will be honored in a graveside service on September 4, 2026, at 12:00 pm, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and share cherished memories. In our hearts, Lynn Marie Alexander will forever remain-a beacon of love, compassion, and unwavering strength.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Judes Hospital in Lynn's memory.

Lynn is remembered by her two sons, Samuel and Jacob Alexander Knapp, brothers, Tait Alexander, Heath Alexander, Bryant Alexander and sister, Niccole Busch.
