Lucy Brouhard

Lucy Ann Brouhard, age 91, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009, at St. Lukes East Hospital in Lees Summit, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 16, 2009, at Potts Chapel of Independence, with Pastor Jack Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Potts Chapel, with family receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Lucy was born September 28, 1917, in Montgomery County, Kansas, to Luther B. and Minnie Holestine. On October 24, 1935, she married David Raymond Brouhard, and he preceded her in death. Lucy lived in Independence from her birth until October, 2008, when she moved to Wilshire at Lakewood. She is survived by two sons, David E. Brouhard and Gerald D. Brouhard, both of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Mary Ann Evans, Girard, KS; seven grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
