Lowell Dickey

Lowell Glenn Dickey, 79, of Independence, KS passed away January 13, 2018, at Labette Health Care in Independence, KS. Cremation has taken place at the request of the family at Potts Chapel of Independence, KS. Services are planned for a later date.
Lowell Glenn Dickey was born May 1, 1938, in Caney, KS, the son of Leslie Lowell and Nellie Vera (Marshall) Dickey. Glenn grew up in the Niotaze, Kansas area and attended grade school in Niotaze and graduated from Caney High School in 1956. Glenn enlisted in the Navy on May 26, 1959 and was discharged May 1, 1963. After the service Glenn lived in Wichita, KS. Glenn married Louise McClure and they had a daughter Glenda. Glenn worked as a salesman for 25 years in auto parts then later he moved to Bartlesville, OK. and worked in the tree trimming service until his retirement
Glenn enjoyed working on old cars and restoring them, swap meets and car shows and country music.
Glenn is survived by one daughter Glenda Whitaker and husband John of Franktown, CO., one sister Norma Scott and husband Danny of Caney, KS. and two grandchildren Kailey and Daniel Whitaker of Franktown, CO. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Loyd Dean Dickey.
