Louie Ralph Hill Jr. Louie Ralph Hill Jr., age 68 of Caney, Kansas died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday August 24, 2009 at the Sunnyside Cemetary with Reverend Andela DeFischer of the First United Methodist Church officiating under the direction of Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Louie was born September 25, 1940 in Caney, Kansas to Louie Ralph and Lorene Francis Hill. He grew up in Caney, Kansas and graduated from the Caney High School in 1958. Louie served in the United States Army Reserves. On March 30, 1961 Louie married Sylvia Theiss in Caney, Kansas where they made their home. Louie was a member of the American Legion Post 138, First United Methodist Church in Caney and the Caney Valley Historical Society. Survivors include his wife Sylvia of the home; two sons Don Hill of Caney, Kansas; Ralph and wife Linda Hill of Olathe, Kansas; half brother Earl Black of Caney, Kansas; two grandchildren Stephen and Ryan Hill both of Olathe, Kansas.
