Lorene Myers Craft, age 69, a native of Elgin, Kansas and most recently a resident of Protection, Kansas died Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the MoorePrairie Cemetery near Elgin, Kansas with the Reverend Don Elliott of the First Christian Church in Dewey, Oklahoma officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 with the family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Friends may also sign the online guest book at www.pottsfuneralhome.com. The family has suggested memorials to the Donors Choice and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Lorene was born January 10, 1942 in Anthony, Kansas to Ora Otis and Verda Marcella Keeth Myers. Lorene graduated from the Sedan High School in 1960 and then the Oklahoma City Business College. Lorene married Lee Craft and the couple later divorced. Lorene worked at Kenneys Caf in Sedan, Kansas as a waitress. She was a member of the Elgin Methodist Church. Lorene is survived by her only child, son David Myers and wife Tina of Caney, Kansas two sisters Leona Johnson and husband Charles of Ocala, Florida and Hazel Wallace of Houston, Texas brother Ray Myers and wife Lynda of Copan, Oklahoma two grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
