Loran Wesley Cranor, 69, of Independence, died Wednesday at the Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, Kansas.
A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 am. Saturday, October 19, 2013 At the Potts Chapel in Independence with the Reverend Joe Davolt officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence.
Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday October 18, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Loran was born April 1, 1944 in Rural Altoona, Kansas the son of Earl and Wilma Davidson Cranor. He grew up in Altoona, Kansas and he attended and graduated in 1962 from the Independence Bible School.
In 1965 Loran married Sally Stites and they later divorced. Loran later married Joyce Rutherford in 1987 and the couple made their home in independence. Joyce preceded Loran in death in 2005.
Loran was owneroperator of the Cranor Trucking Company at the time of his death.
Survivors include his Fiancee Donna Dean of Independence, Ks., two sons Wesley D. Cranor, and Jason Loran Patrick Cranor both of Independence, Ks., one step Son Curtis Rutherford of Okla., one step daughter Bridgette Bise of Tx., two sisters Janice Cornett of Independence, Ks., and Wanda Sones of Wellsville,PA. And twelve grandchildren.
