Lonnie Kay Isaak, 71, of Independence Kansas, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at her residence in Independence, Kansas.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Episcopal Church in Independence, Kansas with Father Gerald Eytcheson officiating. A reception will follow the service which will provide friends a chance to pass on their condolences to the family.
Lonnie was born August 12, 1942 in Great Bend, Kansas to Alonzo E. and Joan E. Snyder Perkins. She attended Colorados Womens College and graduated in 1965 with her Bachelors degree. Lonnie was a member of the Independence Episcopal Church, and was formerly a member of the Sedan Episcopal Church. She was the president of the Episcopalian Eastern Diocese and was an active member of the Episcopal Church Women Group. Lonnie volunteered with the Apple a Day Program in Sedan, and had recently won an award on the state level for her volunteer work within the Episcopal Church.
Lonnie is survived by her mother Joan Perkins, her sister Dianne Wuthnow, her brother John Perkins, her daughters Laura Aube and Jeanna Smith, her grandchildren Alex and Adeline Aube, her best friend and partner James Sommers, and stepchildren James and Holly Isaak.
