Lois Jane Mahlum, Independence, passed away on March 17th, 2021 peacefully at her home. Cremation has taken place with Potts Chapel. No service is scheduled at this time.

Lois Jane (Bicknell) Mahlum was born on September 9th, 1944 in Blackpool England. She was the daughter of Clifford and Lillian (Fowler) Bicknell. She grew up and graduated high school in Panaca, Nevada.

On July 18th, 1984 she married Dexter Mahlum in Colorado Springs. After Dexter retired from the military they made their home in Independence, Kansas.

Lois enjoyed to garden, plant flowers and to knit.

She is survived by a son Billy Cox and three granddaughters of Salt Lake City, two sisters: Carol Miller of Panaca, Nevada and Rose Johnny of West Virginia, and a brother Frank Fake of Jennings, LA.

Preceding her in death was her daughter Michelle Bicknell.
