Lois Kline

Lois M. Kline, age 84, of Independence, Kansas died Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Eagle Estates in Independence, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Mound Valley Cemetery in Mound Valley, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Lois M. Kline was born September 22, 1925 at Caruthersville, Missouri the daughter of Frank Cunningham and Belle Floyd Cunningham. She grew up and attended schools in Caruthersville, graduating from Caruthersville High School. Following High School, she lived in Wichita, Kansas, Redding, California, Cherryvale, Kansas and Independence, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Arvis Andy Kline. He preceded her in death in 1986. Lois worked at Automotive Controls Corporation ACC for 17 years until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mercy Hospital Auxillary, Dewlen Dix Post 1186 V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary, and the WIBA Bowling Association. Survivors include one son Charles F. Kline of Lenexa, Kansas one sister Vivian Kessel of Silver Springs, Maryland one granddaughter Shannon Kline step father Carl Akins, Wichita, Kansas step sister Patsy Akins of California 3 step brothers Jerry Akins of California, Thomas Akins of Arizona and Jim Akins of Pennsylvania.
