Linda Warfield

Linda L. Warfield, age 69, of Caney, Kansas died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Caney with the Reverend Dan DeWitt officiating, under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney. Memorial contributions may be left at the St. Judes Childrens Hospital or the Disabled Veterans Association has been established and may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Linda was born March 16, 1941 in Clover Port, Kentucky, the daughter of John P. and Ethel Atwell Wood. She attended the Bowring, Oklahoma School System. On December 2, 1961, she was united in marriage to William Bill Warfield in Alamagordo, New Mexico and he survives at the home. Linda worked and managed the Gunny Sack in Caney, Kansas and retired after 15 years. Survivors include her husband Bill of the home one son Tad Brockman of Wichita, Kansas three daughters Lynn Bailey and Wendy McAfee both of Caney, Kansas and Lori Davis of Mobile, Alabama, one sister Sheila Wood of Caney, Kansas four brothers John Wood Jr., Sedan, Kansas, Bill Johnson of Missouri, Kenny Johnson, Boulanger, Oklahoma, Randy Johnson, of New Mexico 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
