Linda Seamans

June 24, 1952 — June 4, 2017

Linda Sue Seamans, 64, of Elk City KS, passed away Sunday, June 5th 2017 at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha KS.
Celebration of Life services will be Friday, June 9th at 10:00am at the Elk City Nazarene Church in Elk City KS, burial will be in the Longton City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8th 2017 at Potts Chapel in Independence KS, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm with the family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Linda Sue Seamans was born June 24th 1952 in Wichita KS, the daughter of George Ross and Melba Leota (Baughman) Smith. Linda attended schools in Longton and graduated High School in 1970 from Longton High School. On June 29th 1973, Linda was united in marriage to Charles Seamans in Topeka KS. They made their home in Oak Valley KS, before moving to Elk City KS for the past thirty-three years.
Linda loved to read, play games on her Kindle Fire tablet, animals especially her dogs but most of all she loved to spend time with her loving family and her grandbabies.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Charles of the home, mother Melba Leota Smith, stepsons Chris Seamans of Oklahoma City OK, and Shawn Seamans of Grove OK, step daughter Melody Sutherland of Southwest City MO, brothers Willie Smith and wife Regina of Howard KS, and Milo Smith and wife Karleen of Towanda KS, sisters Fonetta Keith and husband James of Rose Hill KS, and Mary Ann Moore and husband Randy of Longton KS, brother in-law Gary Floyd and wife Marsha of Howard KS, brother in-laws Robert Seamans and wife Nora of Theresa NY, and James Seamans of Cayuga NY, 7 grand-children and 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Linda is proceeded in death by her father George Smith , sister Waunita Floyd and a grandson Corey Christopher Goad.
