Linda Pendergrass

Linda Gail Pendergrass, age 43, of Independence, Kansas died Monday, April 30, 2012 in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2012 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Cremation will follow under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Memorial Services will also be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Stoney Bs at 2021 W. Main, Independence, Kansas. Linda was born July 28, 1968 in Atlanta, Georgia to Lewis and Mary Brown Owens. She grew up in Smyrna, Georgia and attended schools in Georgia. Linda was a homemaker, had her CDL and also graduated from massage therapy school. She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church now the New Life Baptist Church in Independence, Kansas and was a member of the American Legion. On September 15, 1990 Linda married Otis Dale Pendergrass in Smyrna, Georgia. Survivors include two sons Jonathan Wayne Pendergrass of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Michael Dale Pendergrass of Independence, Kansas two daughters Kathy Joe Pendergrass of Kansas City, Kansas and Crystal Genavie Pendergrass of Independence, Kansas two brothers Samuel Owens of Kings Mountain, North Carolina and Andrew Owens of Federal Way, Washington one sister Faye Fisher of Mableton, Georgia Grandchildren Darren Alexander Blizzard, Candice Sarah Lewis, Zachary Higdon, Levi Higdon, Ashley Sinor, Jeffrey Pendergrass, Cheyanne Pendergrass, Jarrod Pendergrass and Kailey Pendergrass.
