Linda Diana Musgrove was born May 13, 1948 in Independence, KS. She was the first child of Cleona Marilla (Reynolds) and Hollis Mont Musgrove. After graduating Independence High School in 1966, she started out working at a soda fountain. For many years she worked at the Proscript pharmacy as the friendly face behind the counter. Linda lived in Independence for nearly all of her life. A devoted Elvis, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans fan, she enjoyed traveling the American West, frequently visiting Las Vegas. She was a member of the Grace Memorial United Methodist Church.
Linda had many hobbies including playing bingo, reading books, and coloring books. Many of the wonderful works of art she painted featured Elvis and various western movie stars. She was very creative with a wide range of sewing projects from quilts to Christmas ornaments. As a collector of many subjects, she enjoyed shopping, in particular first for her nephews and later the grand nieces and nephews. For all major holidays Linda would always send the kids greeting cards and care packages of items she personally selected for each child.
Linda was very devoted to her family and took excellent care of her mother in her later years. Everyone who knew Linda knew her to be a very positive and caring person, and miss her. After a long battle with breast cancer Linda passed away. During all of her treatment she remained positive in her outlook on life.
Linda is survived by her sister-in-law Linda Musgrove of Waxahachie, TX; nephew Cameron Musgrove and wife Maryellen of Bixby, OK; nephew Grant Musgrove and wife Julie of Waxahachie, TX; grand-nieces and grand-nephews Holly, Jack, Gavin, Jaxon, Keith, and Jolene.
