Linda Kay Jacobs, born on October 15, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at her residence in Independence, Kansas. Throughout her life, Linda made significant contributions to her community and was deeply dedicated to her family.
Linda's professional journey was marked by her valuable work as a Dispatcher for the Montgomery County Law Enforcement for seven years. She was also known for her tenure as assistant manager at Eggbert's for ten years and her time at St. Luke's EMTI-D for three years. After many years in the workforce, Linda made the heartfelt decision to step back from her career in 2004 to care for her mother, Velma Pauline Flippin, showcasing her strong family values and commitment to loved ones.
Educated for three years in college, Linda valued learning and personal growth. Her dedication to her roles in both her career and family life left a lasting impact on those who knew her.
Linda is survived by her sons, Jonathan Wrinkles, Michael Wrinkles, and Aaron Flippin, all of Independence, Kansas. She cherished her daughter-in-law, Crystal Wrinkles, and took great pride in her grandchildren: Samantha Wrinkles, Kramer Wrinkles, Larz Wrinkles, and Elizabeth Wrinkles. Additionally, she was a loving grandmother to her two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Arden.
She was preceded in death by her father, John B. Flippin; her mother, Velma Pauline Flippin; and her brother, Gary Q. Flippin.
Linda Kay Jacobs will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, loving nature, and the significant impact she made on her family and community. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
