Letha Bays

Letha Marie Bays, 76, died Thursday at the Hill Top Manor in Cunningham, Kansas. Celebration of life services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday , May 31, 2011 at the Potts Chapel Caney, with the Reverend Mike Bush of the Open Door Fellowship Church, in Peru, Kansas officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Niotaze, Kansas under the direction of Potts Chapel Caney. Visitation will also be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 9:00 am until service time at the Potts Chapel Caney. A memorial has been set up for the Alzehimers Foundation which may be left at the Potts chapel. Letha was born December 12, 1934, in Sedan, Kansas, the daughter of Bruce and Grace Millison Pendergraft. She attended the Sedan School Systems . She was united in marriage to Floyd Bays he preceded her in death in August, 1994. Letha was a homemaker and devoted her time to raising her children which she loved very much. Survivors are four daughters Stacey Castleberry of Pratt, Ks., Charolette Eisenbise , ElDorado,Ks, Linette Van Claremore, Okla Deloris Pomeroy, Independence, Ks. Five Sons Edward Bays, Peru, Ks, David Bays, Haven, Ks., William Bays, Derby, Ks., Douglas Bays, Marietta, Ill., Matthew Bays, Georgia., five sisters Jean Miller, Oregon City, Or., Nina Long Phoenix, Az., Sharon Gibbon Dayton, Or., Linda Cantrelle, San Jose, Ca., Margarite Halloway Anaheim, Calf., four brothers Phil Pendergraft, Seattle, Wash., Richard Pendergraft and Jim Pendergraft Golden Mo., Steve Pendergraft Dayton,Or. , 22 grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren
