LARRY KEITH KAISER NEWS MEDIA NOTIFICATION Larry Keith Kaiser, age 77, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and formerly of Independence, Kansas died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at his home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Mount Hope Cemetery with the Pastor Bill Fechner of Oak Street Church of God, Bristow, OK officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel. Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 p.m., to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the American Heart Association or to the Church of God in Independence, Kansas and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Mr. Kaiser was born November 25, 1931, the son of Elroy J. and Laura Violet Lybarger Kaiser. Larry achieved status of Boy Scout Life Rank. He graduated from the Independence High School in 1950. He married Norma M. Campbell August 8, 1950 and the couple later
orced. He later married Ruth E. Dunn of Oilton, Oklahoma on September 3, 1982 and she survives at the home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. For short time, he worked at a grocery store in Wichita, Kansas and for the Santa Fe Railroad in Amarillo, TX. He retired from ARCO ending 30 years of service as a Station Engineer. His retirement years were also working years. He was a Security Guard for SSI Security Services Incorporated in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served several seasons as Camp Host with his wife Ruth for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at various recreational reservoirs and lakes. Up to the time of his death he worked as a Camp Host, along with his wife Ruth, at Heyburn Lake near Kellyville, Oklahoma. Larry was a lifetime Mason with membership of Oilton and Sapulpa Lodges. He was a 5-year member in the Shriners of Keystone, Oklahoma Division. As a 20-years member of the Good Sam Club, he served 4 years as Chapter President and Wagon Master for 4 years. He was a member of the Church of God in Independence, Kansas and the United Methodist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, and eight children, Larry W. Kaiser of Independence, Ks, Charles Kaiser of Kingman, AZ, Thomas Kaiser of Independence, Kansas, Susan Eaton of Elk City, Kansas, Judy Lorenz of Bartlesville, Ok, and Sally Kaiser of Emporia, Kansas, Rick Molder of Yale, Oklahoma and Angela Piper of Drumwright, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Caroll Kaiser of Walkersville, MD.
