Larry Ray Cain was born on September 22nd. 1949 to Hubert Virn Cain and Betty Lou (McClenning) Cain. He grew up in Independence, Kansas , where he attended local schools and learned the value of hard work , family and being there for others.

Larry began his working career at Starcraft Boats and later worked for Hackney & Sons , from which he retired. He was a talented craftsman who could fix, build and tinker with just about anything . He took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Larry married Emma Lee (Prather) Cain, on July 20th ,1968 and together they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years. They were blessed with 2 children, including Tracy Anna (Cain) Boorigie and Jeffrey Ray Cain, Both of Independence.

Larry was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with family, outdoors and tinkering on the farm. He was an excellent craftsman and took great pride in working with his hands. Those who knew Larry will also remember his wonderful sense of humor. He was quite the jokester, and there was rarely a dull moment when Larry was around.

HIs laughter, stories, and ability to make people smile will be deeply missed.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Emma Lee Cain, HIs daughter Tracy Anna (Kim) Boorigie, His son Jeffrey Ray Cain (Kris), 7 Grandchildren: Samantha Cain Donnelly(Paul), Hunter Boorigie, Trista Jones( Kyle), Leslie Cecil, Durrell Collins, Lakin Huckabey, Chayce Littau (Alyssa) and 10 Great Grandchildren: Casey Harelik, Charlie Donnelly, Keeva Boorigie, Mya Neal, Arabella English, Jayedin, Liam, Grady Shayne Huckabey, his sister Linda (Cain) Osterberger, and numerous family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Hubert Virn Cain and Betty Lou Cain, and his three brothers, Richard, Bobby & Junior Cain.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, hard work, craftsmanship and family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, brother and friend whose presence made life a little more fun for everyone around him.

HIs family and friends will cherish the memories he gave them, his stories and laughter, and the love he shared . Larry will be deeply missed and forever loved.
