LARRY T. BALLEW NEWS MEDIA NOTIFICATION Larry T. Ballew, age 65, of Cherryvale, Kansas died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at his home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Reverend Steve Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Larry was born December 22, 1943 in Independence, Kansas to Thurman and Madge Kerrns Ballew. He grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and attended school in Cherryvale. Larry worked for Nu-Wa Industries for 30 years in Chanute, Kansas as a cabinet setter. Survivors include one daughter Marcy Brooks of Cherryvale, Kansas; one brother Jerry Ballew of Cherryvale, Kansas; and five Grandchildren.
