Lacy has extended family who also survives her, being Dean and Jennifer Markham, who will always consider her their precious girl, and by Orlo and Carol Paget, Lacy's doting surrogate grandparents.
Lacy had an infinite amount of love and devotion to all of her family, which on this earth will now be incomplete without her.
Lacy loved animals, especially her own kitty Izzy. She loved to eat spinach and didn't mind eating it right from the can. She preferred salad to candy and loved ramen noodles with lots of butter, the way her daddy made them for her when she was little. Lacy was funny, remarkably thoughtful, resilient, and she had a beautiful singing voice, and although only fairly recently began playing the Tuba, she found she had a knack for it and enjoyed playing it in the Independence Middle School band. Lacy had a servant's heart and was continuously dreaming up fun ways to create surprises for those she loved.
This remarkable little girl found her joy, in bringing joy to others. This, our beautiful and treasured Lacy died tragically, and far too soon on 1/18/2019.
Funeral services for Lacy will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene in Independence, Kansas on Saturday, January 26th at 10:00 AM with interment immediately following at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence. Memorials can be left in Lacy's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and can be left with Potts Chapel.
