La Bellm

Mrs. La Donna Irene Bellm, 78, of Independence, Kansas, died on June 9, 2015 at her home.

Born June 17, 1936, the daughter of Simeon Pinegar and Rosa B. Finney Pinegar, La Donna (Donnie) married Anthony (Tony) Joseph Bellm on February 14, 1953 and lived in Pierce City, Missouri until they moved to Independence, Kansas, in 1958.

La Donna was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She loved sharing time with all of her family and extended family and was very much loved by all of them. She also worked as a nurse assistant and owned a clothing store, The Denim Shoppe, in Independence for several years. Her hobbies included sewing, crafts of all kinds, crocheting and refinishing antique trunks.

Survivors include her husband, Anthony Joseph Bellm, her children, Pamela Ricken and Dave of Wichita, Kansas; Deborah Bellm of Independence, Kansas; Kimberly Bellm of Pueblo, Colorado; David Bellm and Carrie of Nixa, Missouri and Jerald Bellm and Ginger of Independence, Kansas, 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jason, Kelly, Brian, Zach, Stefan and Kyle; great grandchildren, Logan, Kolby, Ethan, Kennedy, Faith, Meghan, Elise and Bryson.

Visitation will be held at 10 am on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Potts Funeral Home in Independence, Kansas, with the Memorial Service following at 11 am. Burial will follow at Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge, Kansas.
