Kenneth Eugene Kebert, 86, passed away peacefully on April 2,2018 in Tulsa, OK due to complications suffered from a stroke. Gene was born on August 2, 1931 to Reuben and Bertha Kebert in Tulsa, OK. He was raised in Sycamore and Independence, Kansas. And graduated from Kansas State University at Manhattan, KS. with a degree in Geology.
Gene married Billie Marie Ward August 2, 1951 in Huntsville, AR. He was preceded in death by his beloved Billie (August 2007). He was a dearly loved father to three children, Steve Kebert and wife Viki of Collinsville, OK. Stacy Kebert Blue and husband E.J. of Garland, TX. and Neal Kebert and wife Cathy of Norman, OK. He had five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Beverly Tucker and husband Norman of Houston, TX. and Linda Shahan and husband Chuck of Temple, TX.
Gene spent his career in the oil and gas business in Oklahoma and farming outside of Neodesha, Kansas. He owned and operated Chief Well Service and Oil Company in Drumright, OK. for many years. He was an avid lover of all sports - especially fishing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Alzheimer's Assn. Tulsa, OK. or to a charity of choice.
Graveside services will be Saturday April 7, 2018 at 11:00am at Robbins Cemetery Dearing, KS. Visitation will be Friday April 6,2018 at Potts Chapel in Independence, KS. from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. On- Line condolences can be left to the family by going to www.pottsfuneralhome.com
