Kenneth Campbell

Kenneth Gregory Campbell 68, of Independence Kansas passed away on January 27th, 2023. He was born to his parents Gerald and Betty Campbell on Aug. 5th, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas. He was the third oldest of six children. Kenny was loved by many and lived a very full life. Some of his favorite activities included: riding motorcycles, pool tournaments, flying kites, building puzzles, swimming at the beach and making people smile.

Kenny served in the United States Army, from August 28th, 1972 through August 29th, 1975. He served as a motor transport operator and a tractor-trailer driver. Stationed out of Fort hood, Texas. He was a recipient of the National Medal of Honor for being a expert in Marksmanship.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Campbell, father Gerald Campbell and brother, David Campbell.
Survivors include his brothers, Richard Campbell, Ronald Campbell, Steven Campbell and Sister, Linda Cameron. He leaves behind his 4 children, Heather Ballinger, Holly Younger, Nick Campbell and Tia Spelger, 6 grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a friend to many and will be very missed by all.

Celebration of life will be held at 1 pm Sunday, February 5th at the Riverside park 400 Mickey mantel way Independence, KS 67301
