Kenneth "Buford" Tallman

Kenneth L (Buford) Tallman, 74, passed away on May 10, 2023 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place. Kenny was born on November 5^th 1948, in Independence, KS, to Clarence and Marie (Betzen) Tallman.
Kenneth was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener.  He worked as a carpenter all his life. He graduated from Independence High School and Independence Community College.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Patrick, John and Mike, and an infant sister Carol Ann .

Kenney is survived by his brother Jim (Kathy) Liberty, KS and sister Mary Jeane Howerton, Harrisburg PA. Sister-in-law Vernelle (Mike) Wichita KS. Nephews Jamie (Jessica) Tallman, Matt (Jessica) Tallman, Sean Howerton, Sean (Jamie) Torrance, Nieces Shannon (Tom)McDow, Heidi Sanders and Leeann (Matt) Stevenson. And several great nephews and nieces.

A Rosary will be held Friday May 26^th 2023 at 9:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am, St. Andrews Catholic Church, Independence KS. Inurnment will be at Mount Hope (Calvary) Cemetery in Independence. A lunch will be held following the service in the Parish Hall at St. Andrews.
