Kay Windle

Kay Windle, age 53, of Caney, Kansas died Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Potts Chapel. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Assembly of God Church in Caney, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Kay Windle memorial fund at Potts Chapel and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Kay was born June 25, 1957 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to John Bud and Lois L. Waggoner Windle. She grew up in Caney, Kansas and graduated from the Caney High School in 1975. In 1977 Kay married Marty Short in Caney, Kansas the couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Kay worked at Western Publishing in Quality Control for about ten years. The couple later divorced. Kay graduated from Cosmetology school in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was a cosmetologist in Caney and Coffeyville, Kansas. She then moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked for Coleman. In 1995 Kay moved back to Caney, Kansas and worked for Good News, Spears and KOPCO. Due to poor health Kay wasnt able to work for the past several years. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother Lois Windle of Maize, Kansas one sister Janie Windle of Maize, Kansas significant other Chris Richesion of Caney, Kansas step son River Richesion of Caney, Kansas.
