Karen Terry

October 22, 1947 — November 28, 2018

Karen Marie (Williams) Terry, 71, of Apollo Beach Florida passed away on November 28, 2018 at the Melech Hospice House in Tampa. Cremation has taken place. The rosary will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church at 10am, Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Memorials are suggested to the ALS Association at alsa.org or can be left with Potts Chapel.
Karen was born on October 22, 1947 in Independence, Kansas. She was the daughter of George R. and Treva M. (Mavers) Williams. She graduated from Field Kinley High School and from Blackwell School of Nursing as an LPN. Karen married Gary G. Terry on April 25, 1970 in Leavenworth, KS. They made their home in Tampa, FL. They later divorced but remained dear friends.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Karen will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and her love of family and others. She was always willing to offer a hand when needed.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, mother and infant brother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her father, sons: Derek (Eve) Terry of Tallahassee, FL. and Darin Terry of Tampa, FL., granddaughters: Stephanie Terry, Priscilla Terry, Hannah Terry of Tallahassee, FL. and grandson Grant Terry and his mother Michelle Terry of Wesley Chapel, Florida, brother Steve (Cindy) Williams and sister Patty Williams.
