Karen Brasko

Karen Sue Brasko, age 59, of Independence, Kansas died August 21st 2019 at the St Frances Health System in Tulsa Oklahoma. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery Independence, Kansas. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, KS. Arrangements are entrusted with Potts Chapel.

Karen was born in1959 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Shirley M. (Holloway) Brasko and Joseph R. Brasko. She grew up in the Rockwood, Michigan area and graduated from Oscar A. Carlson High School in Gibraltar, Michigan. Karen studied computer programing. Then she started getting interested in the medical field. She was a medical transcriber for years for several doctors in Detroit, Michigan. During that time, Karen owned a Blue motorcycle that she attempted a cross country trip on, she almost made it! Karen also earned her Emergency Medical Technician-intermediate certification she worked in Caney, Kansas as an EMT-I / Dispatcher for several years, she loved her work. Karen enjoyed playing games on her computer and playing around with her music. It gave her great pleasure. She is survived by her sister, Joetta Wiesemann of Wapella, Illinois., her brothers David Brasko of Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert Brasko. Nieces and nephews, Caroline Brasko, Allison Pavlik, Jamie Shaver, Casandra Brasko, Nikia Brasko, Justin Shaver, Jeffery Brasko.  Our Greats: Gracie Mae, Nikia, Travis, Maya, Ryder. Karen is preceded in death by mom and dad beloved Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents. She was looking forward a great reunion with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
