Julia Runyan

Julia B. Runyan, 78, of Caney died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Windsor Place, Coffeyville, Kansas. A Graveside Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 am Monday January 30, 2012 at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Chautauqua, Kansas with Hospice Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Hospice of Coffeyville, officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel, Caney, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Harry Hynes Hospice of Coffeyville, Kansas. Julia was born August 24, 1933 in Chautauqua, County the daughter of Oliver H. and Sally Anderson Waggie. Julia grew up in Chautauqua County and attended the Chautauqua County School system. On October 12, 1951 Julia was united in Marriage to Merle Runyan and the couple made their home in Chautauqua, County. Merle Preceded Julia in death. Julia was a home maker and worked as a florist for Sedan Floral in Sedan, Kansas. Survivors include, five daughters Donna Gee, Caney, Sue Stout Skiatook, Okla., Judy Edgerton Springfield, Mo., Kathy Huffred Thayer, Ks., Nancy Runyan, Caney, Ks., one son Thomas Runyan of Springfield, Mo., one brother George Waggie of Wynona, Okla., sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
