Judy Faye Tyler, age 65, of Cherryvale, Kansas died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at her home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or American Cancer Society and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Judy was born May 17, 1944 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Forrest and Lucille Friley Hawkins. She grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and attended schools in Cherryvale. On September 10, 1960 Judy married Doyle Tyler. The couple made their home in Pratt, Kansas before moving back to Cherryvale, Kansas. Juday worked for Lees Sewing Factory, ACC and Pearless before going to work at Vallis in Cherryvale, Kansas where she worked for 27 years until retirement. Survivors include one son Doug Tyler of Cherryvale, Kansas one daughter Becky Brown of Cherryvale, Kansas one brother Bob Hawkins of Cherryvale, Kansas three sisters Pat Messner of Coffeyville, Kansas, Connie Burns of Texas and Mary Jo Karstetter of Cherryvale, Kansas five grandchildren Hollie Reed, Erin Brown, Evan Brown, Kurtis Tyler, and Lea Tyler all of Cherryvale, Kansa
